BANNER DESIGN

How to design an effective 468 × 60 banner

A full banner is wide and shallow. Give one message room to breathe.

Work at the right size

Set your canvas to exactly 468 × 60 pixels. Keep your business identity at one end and a brief message beside it. This shape works best with very little copy.

Prioritize the words

Use a short headline and one clear call to action. Test the image at its actual display size, not only while zoomed in. If the text is difficult to read, remove words before shrinking it.

Protect the edges

Leave space between important text and the image boundary. Treat safe-area spacing as design guidance, not a confirmed network requirement. Avoid fake close buttons or interface controls.

Check the destination

Use a working HTTPS page relevant to the banner. Confirm the final file-format and file-size rules before submitting a live campaign.
